Job Description We are currently hiring adjunct faculty to teach UNSY 311-Uncrewed Ground Systems and Applications. Course Description Introduction to the fundamental concepts and commonly applied technology used for uncrewed ground systems (UGS). Exposure to a historical perspective, control fundamentals, control systems, mobility methods, sensor systems, and applications such as agriculture, search and rescue, firefighting, construction, mining, and others. Tools and methods supporting the development, configuration, and application of UGS to conduct operations of appropriate vehicles, sensors, and payloads in terrestrial environments. Please note that ERAU policy requires that all adjuncts be physically located within the United States while working for the University, including during training. Presently, we are able to support work for new adjuncts from all U.S. states except California. ERAU does not support work from international locations with some limited exceptions for individuals who are residing and working from U.S. military bases. If selected for this role, the candidate will be required to provide proof of stated qualifications. This includes, but is not limited to, official transcripts, copies of professional licenses/certifications, documentation of military experience, and/or verified professional industry related experience. Desired Professional Training or Experience Experience at a Military / Civilian organization operating unmanned ground and/or robotic systems. Active membership in professional organizations in engineering, i.e., National Academy of Engineering, National Society of Professional Engineers, Human Factors and Ergonomics Society, or other organizations in fields related to development, testing, operation, training, or maintenance of unmanned, robotic, or related technology. Applicable Professional Certification Rated/certified military operations officer or civil equivalent for unmanned ground systems/robots (e.g. Police/EOD robot operations) or any professional certification related to unmanned ground systems operations.
