What YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

In this position, you will get to:

  • Work with vendors to acquire quotes for noninventory materials.
  • Generate purchase orders for both direct and indirect materials.
  • Participate in the daily MRO activities and operations associated with the upkeep of the plant/facility, which include but are not limited to, the physical maintenance of the structure or building, the systems that operate within the plant/facility, and the equipment used to produce the plant/facility's product/business output.
  • Work with Manufacturing to create a consistent methodology for the procurement process of components based on demand and min & max inventory.
  • Follow up on statuses of purchase orders.
  • Review price increases and communicate to strategic supply to renegotiate.
  • Schedule outside vendor services.
  • Troubleshoot any discrepancies between purchase orders, receipts, invoices and ensure we receive proper credit for any returns (ESKER).
  • Pick-up and delivery of parts, supplies, and materials as needed.
  • Work with all departments to maintain parts inventory for production.
  • Generate reports to support business decisions of the company.

You have:

  • Must have a High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ years' experience in industrial buying preferred.
  • Experience with M3 a plus.
  • Must have good analytical, creative and interpersonal skills, including excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Must be a self-starter and possess computer skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint a plus).
  • Demonstrated skills in attention to detail and accuracy, problem prevention and resolution, multi-tasking, and work independently.

Pay Transparency

nVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee's work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.

Compensation Range:

$17.20 - $31.90 Per Hour

Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
