Job Summary
The Safety & Security Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all safety and security operations, including compliance, training, and emergency preparedness. This position provides leadership to ensure a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Additionally, the Safety & Security Supervisor supervises the Patient Support Team and oversees the Site-Go-To program, ensuring coordination and operational effectiveness.

What you will do
  • Leadership and Oversight:
    Directs and oversees the daily operations of the Safety and Security Department, ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory standards. Maintains accurate records of departmental activities and prepares reports for leadership and regulatory bodies as needed.
    Develops and implements departmental goals, policies, and procedures to enhance safety and security.
  • Performs full range of leadership responsibilities which include, but is not limited to; interviewing, hiring, coaching, anddevelopment ofemployees; managing performance and any performance issues; planning, assigning, and directing work; encourage innovation, teamwork, fiscal responsibility, high-quality work, and a positive/productive work environment.
  • Safety and Security Programs:
    Ensures regular security inspections are conducted, and corrective actions are implemented as needed.
    Leads the planning and execution of fire safety training, including proper use of fire extinguishers.
    Manages contracts for safety-related services and equipment, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Training and Education:
    Develops and implements safety training programs for all personnel, ensuring awareness and compliance with safety protocols.
    Provides education to staff on safety and security issues, fostering a proactive safety culture.
  • Emergency Preparedness:
    Coordinates fire drills with the Facilities Department and collaborates with local fire departments.
    Establishes and maintains working relationships with local law enforcement authorities for incident management and crime prevention.
  • Risk Management:
    Leads interdisciplinary hazardous surveillance rounds to identify and mitigate safety risks.
    Investigates crimes against persons and property, including gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, and working with law enforcement as necessary.
    Organizes and directs special security and surveillance operations as needed.
  • Equipment and System Management:
    Oversees the functionality and maintenance of keycard entry systems, camera systems, temperature monitoring devices, and security/fire monitoring systems.
    Ensures safety equipment is properly used, stored, and maintained in working condition.
  • Site-Go-To Program Oversight:
    Oversees the Site-Go-To program, which designates 1-2 individuals at each Prevea site to serve as the primary point of contact for site-specific communications, initiatives, and events, and other organizational activities. Ensures these individuals are trained, supported, and equipped to fulfill their roles effectively.

Education Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree , Associate's Degree, or Technical Diploma in Safety Management, Security Administration, or a related field Preferred
  • High School Diploma and/or GED Required
Experience Qualifications
  • 2 years work experience in safety and security
    Required
  • 1-3 years experience designing, developing and presenting training to adults in structured learning situations using a variety of training methods Required
  • Leadership experience, preferably in a safety and security work setting Preferred

  • Familiarity with risk assessment methods and incident investigation techniques.
  • Understanding of security systems, including keycard entry, surveillance, temperature monitoring, and fire monitoring systems.
  • Knowledge of instructional design principles and effective training methods for adult learners.
