Position Summary

The Parts Quality Engineer programs used asset movement and allocation within L&W business units through the aggregation of information garnered from multiple reporting systems and consultations with associated stakeholders. This position liaises with stakeholders from multiple business units to triangulate forecasted returns, against inventory in transit, against inventory in hand, in order to create accurate forecasting models for the optimal disposition of used assets.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Responsible for continuous improvement of supplier parts quality performance of all the assigned suppliers
  • Timely resolution of parts quality issues reported anywhere in the LnW supply chain
  • Effective & Active engagement in DFM manufacturing feasibility reviews at supplier place as part of the new parts development and drive proactive actions
  • Interface between supplier and LnW quality teams on timely quality issues resolution
  • Ensure that corrective and preventive actions are taken timely to address any quality issues identified with the Supplier processes and ensure updates on progress to all the key stakeholders
  • Ensure any actions are assigned through the SCAR system and follow up to closure
  • Ensure timely & effective closure of SCAR / CAPA
  • Management of PPM Reviews & Improvement Plans
  • Supports the quality and sourcing teams in major projects
Qualifications

Qualifications:

Training and/or Experience

  • 2-5 years' of experience in similar Quality Engineering roles
  • Experience with Oracle
  • Knowledge of Analytical tools like Minitab, SPSS or R
  • Knowledge of IPC standards / certification
  • Six sigma knowledge / certification preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of math and logical thinking.
  • Good communication, presentation, writing, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in handling supplier quality and customer quality management systems
  • Knowledge and experience in PPAP, SPC, FMEA, Control plan, MSA, 8D and other relevant problem-solving tools like DMAIC will be added advantage.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred
