The Position

2025 Summer Intern - Cell Therapy Manufacturing

Department Summary:

Typically studying in a field related to the assigned function. May be assigned a variety of tasks relevant to the assigned function and/or special projects for the assigned function. The objective of assignments is for the intern to practically apply academic or vocational studies/learning in a Roche setting, as well as learn more about the Roche organisation, as future employment with Roche may be a possibility subject to job availability, candidate qualification and past performance. Assignments vary but are typically to support the activities of regular employees, such as entry-level research and reporting, analyses and modelling, preparing materials for others, coordinating small events or meetings, improving basic departmental operations such as filing or archiving systems, departmental libraries, etc. Length of internship will vary according to business needs and legal requirements in the market where the internship is occurring.

This internship position is located in Hillsboro, Oregon. On Site

The Opportunity:

  • Gain experience in cutting edge cell therapies

  • Receive hands-on training from the HIT Manufacturing team

  • Support HIT Manufacturing with process efficiency and optimization

  • Familiarize yourself with the different departments within the pharmaceutical industry

  • Ownership of challenging and impactful business-critical projects.

  • Work with some of the most talented people in the biotechnology industry.

Program Highlights:

  • Intensive 6 months, full-time (40 hours per week) paid internship.

  • Program start dates are in May/June

  • A stipend, based on location, will be provided to help alleviate costs associated with the internship.

Who You Are

Required Education: You meet one of the following criteria:

- Must be pursuing a Master's Degree (enrolled student).
- Must have attained a Master's Degree.

Required Majors:

  • Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, BioEngineering

Required Skills:

  • Experience using GSuite Applications

  • Experience with technical writing or protocol generation

  • Data analysis

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.

  • Complements our culture and the standards that guide our daily behavior & decisions: Integrity, Courage, and Passion.

  • Aseptic technique or cell culture experience preferred

Relocation benefits are not available for this job posting.

The expected salary for this position based on the primary location of Oregon is $35.00 hour. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This position also qualifies for paid holiday time off benefits.
