OVERVIEW: The Head of Government Affairs and Public Policy is responsible for directing, developing, and executing the enterprise public policy agenda enabling and driving Lantheus' priorities. This role will lead public policy initiatives, Lantheus PAC and a roster of highly capable policy advisors/consultants. In creating and advancing the policy objectives, this leader will collaborate across the company with functions such as Isotope Strategy, Market Access, Pricing & Contracting, Commercial, Regulatory, R&D, and others. This person will be an ambassador for the organization with external organizations to support Lantheus' portfolio, business objectives, and continue to support a positive environment to support the growth of the radiopharmaceutical industry. They will also have responsibility to execute continued efforts towards enterprise resource planning to ensure long-term sustainability of the business. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop vision and execute a government relations strategy to address key legislative and regulatory issues related to radiopharmaceutical industry on both a state and federal level
- Cultivate high-level relationships with policymakers and advocacy organizations to advocate for transformational policies that support patient access to radiopharmaceuticals and the Lantheus portfolio
- Leads the creation of policy positions, maintaining consistency across the Lantheus portfolio and ensuring coherence with our corporate strategy
- Develop and establish systems to track and evaluate the impact of policy initiatives with regular reporting to senior leadership
- Define and monitor key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of policy strategies in advancing business outcomes
- Advances and represents Lanthues' priorities within key trade organizations, particularly MITA, CORAR, & BIO, and maintains strong relationships with national policy organizations

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS: Required:
- BS/BA required (science/business/finance), master's degree in health policy, Public Health, Public Affairs, or a related field preferred or MBA optional but preferred
- 12+ years of experience in health policy, public programs (Medicare, Medicaid), or government sectors, with a focus on payer/commercial expertise.
- A minimum of 5 years managing high-performing teams and ability to develop talent
- Strong knowledge of laws, regulations, and compliance guidance related to healthcare policies.
- Proven ability to assess and communicate the business impact of policies, shaping commercial strategies and defining policy objectives
- Deep understanding of the US pharmaceutical market, government programs (Medicare, Medicaid), healthcare reform, pricing, reimbursement, regulatory - experience in radiopharmaceutical and/or oncology experience preferred
- Track record of successfully collaborating across departments to deliver exceptional outcomes
- Ability to navigate and lead organizational changes and deliver results; take ownership and manage large scale transformation programs and execute on work-streams
- Results-oriented leader with ability to work in dynamic environment with changing and multiple priorities, practical problem solver and strong prioritization skills
- Innovative, capacity to think through enterprise lens and forward thinker with good grasp of new technologies, competitive landscapes, and the regulatory environment
- Strong collaborator and change agent with demonstrated experience in influencing stakeholders to support decision making processes
- Routine overnight travel based on business need
- Valid driver's license
Preferred:
- Experience in Oncology, including prostate cancer, or Neuroscience
- Clinical and/or technical discipline knowledge (e.g., radiopharmaceuticals, theranostics, treatment paradigms, and future trends)
