Director, Corporate & Foundation Partnerships, Development and Communications

Location: Washington, DC (hybrid) or Remote - US (CA, CO, DC, FL, GA, IL, IN, KS, MA, MD, MI, MN, MO, NV, NJ, NY, NC, OR, PA, TN, TX, VA, WA)

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Director, Corporate & Foundation Partnerships is responsible for developing, growing, and stewarding new and current relationships with corporations and foundations for Project HOPE. Works closely with the VP, Corporations & Foundations to identify new donor bases, develop fundraising strategies, direct and coordinate solicitations, and oversee all fundraising activities as it relates to their portfolio. The position leverages a collaborative value strategy to foster strong relationships resulting in positioning Project HOPE as a valued partner.

They will cultivate relationships, obtain meetings, and market Project HOPE's program opportunities to corporate entities in various industries and large foundations. They will develop strategies designed to demonstrate the programs and mission of Project HOPE to achieve increased funding.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Cultivate a pipeline of corporate and foundation donors and grow the partnerships for our global health programming, event sponsorship, emergency and core mission support funding opportunities.
  • Research, identify, and develop cause marketing campaigns aligning brand values with social causes.
  • Understand the entire fundraising cycle from identifying targets by researching company needs, developing proposals, negotiating contracts, and providing stewardship.
  • Develop relationships with senior management of prospective partners to communicate Project HOPE's value proposition and secure partnerships.
  • Collaborate with senior management on funding opportunities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues internally to identify funding opportunities and develop proposals.
  • Develop strong relationships with colleagues in Global Health to allow for collaboration and cross-team approaches to solicitations.
  • Develop briefings, presentations, decks and customized collateral for prospective partners.
  • Support the VP with preparation of marketing activity reports, funding analysis, and presentations to executive management.
  • Stay on top of emergency response and market strategies to solicit funding for Project HOPE's respond. Contribute to and support a comprehensive Corporate & Foundation advancement plan.
  • Maintain accurate contact information within RaisersEdge NXT, SharePoint and funder pipelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.



MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Minimum bachelor's degree required
  • 8+ years' experience in an international non-profit fundraising environment with a track record of developing strong partnerships with global corporations.
  • Consultative and collaborative non-profit experience and knowledge; experience with forming and maintaining partnerships.
  • Experience developing and explaining the value proposition for corporations to partner with a nonprofit organization.
  • Experience creating detailed proposals for large-sized foundations, including working with prospect mapping, creating logic frameworks, translating complex budgets and programmatic work into fundable proposals.
  • Highly motivated, self-driven, result-oriented, and strategic thinker.
  • Political savvy, organizational agility, perseverance.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to present to high level corporate decision makers.
  • Ability to understand and meet funder requirements and organization policies.
  • Demonstrated ability to be a collaborative and supportive member of a high-performance team.
  • Ability to travel as needed, including internationally.

Work environment:


  • Typical office environment with exposure to a minimal noise level.
  • Emergency deployments may be in resource-deprived environments with austere living conditions.
  • Travel for extended periods may be by air and/or other modes of transportation.
  • While international travel is not a regular part of every job, programmatic needs may require it intermittently.
  • Project HOPE employees may be required to travel or work in countries where working conditions are classified as "hardship."

Salary range starting at $124,000 USD per year based on candidates residing in the US. Compensation for the role is dependent on several factors including a candidate's location, qualifications, skills, and experience.
