JOB TITLE:

Credentialing Specialist

JOB PURPOSE:

Compile, organize, maintain, and verify that all staff has appropriate accreditation at the EHCW clinics.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Process initial credentialing and re-credentialing applications.
  • Identify discrepancies in information and conduct follow-ups.
  • Prepare reports for management.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state guidelines for credentialing.
  • Screen practitioner's application and support documentation to determine eligibility.
  • Maintain and verify files and track the expiration of certifications throughout the organization.
  • Respond to health plan provider inquiries.
  • Capture primary source documentation in the database.
  • Provide support with program reviews or audits for compliance.
  • Coordinate and engage colleagues to pull together information for complete and accurate credentialing.
  • Identify support agencies and build a relationship with agencies to streamline the credentialing process.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Associate's degree

Experience: 2 years work-related experience

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Skilled in managing deadlines and effectively communicating timelines
  • Excellent communication skills across various platforms (e.g., email, phone, video conferencing, in-person)
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities

WORK LOCATION:

On-campus: This position provides vital support to clinic staff and requires the successful candidate be available to work on site within the clinic.

The successful candidate must be eligible to work in the United States. Sponsorship for H-1B work authorization or work visa is not available for this position.
