We are seeking a MANUAL TURNING AND GUNDRILL MACHINE OPERATOR to join our team! In this role, the MANUAL TURNING AND GUNDRILL MACHINE OPERATOR will set up and operate a variety of manual turning and gun drill machines to perform a series of machining operations as defined in the job routings. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but not limited to:
- Reads and understands blueprint, job routings, setup sheets and standard charts for such specifications as dimensions and tolerances.
- Must be able to run more than one machine where cycle time permits.
- Perform Quality Control Characteristics documentation of tolerance zones specified on blueprints.
- Inspect parts using tools that include, but are not limited to micrometers, calipers, vision systems and height stands.
- Operate turning and gun drill machines with supervision.
- Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- High School Degree or GED diploma
- 0-1 years of experience in a similar position in a machine shop and/or training
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to read blue prints.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, adapt to shifting priorities and meet deadlines.
- Problem solving and decision making skills and the ability to think independently.
- Must be able to work in other areas on an as needed basis.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate and work well with others.
- Show initiative in work by being a self starter, suggesting new ideas for completing a job, giving input as to how to improve the efficiency of a job, and organizing work time in order to complete jobs in a timely matter.

1st shift: Monday-Thursday 5:00AM - 3:30PM + overtime as needed.
