About the team The Online Debit Certification group consists of 16 team members. Their primary role is to assist clients in validating implementations, conversions, and product changes within their debit system before production deployment. They collaborate extensively with the Professional Services - Payments One Debit Conversion and Implementation teams and handle individual client-requested projects. The team also works on internal projects for new product implementations, as well as pre-production testing for fix changes. What you will be doing We are seeking a software tester to conduct preproduction testing of our FIS Inhouse Connex on HP software for US and international financial institutions. You will use network simulators (VISA, MC, NYCE) to validate debit processing changes and configurations. Responsibilities include requirement gathering, technical review analysis, test script preparation, functional testing, defect reporting and tracking, and attending value stream ceremonies. Projects typically run concurrently and take about 4 weeks. Team members will work independently, collaboratively, or within larger project groups depending on the software testing requirements. Initially, new team members will be paired with an experienced colleague to learn new tasks. Team members will adhere to standard project management methodologies, actively advancing the project through its lifecycle, providing timely updates, and participating in weekly team SCRUM calls. What you bring * 2-5 years of experience with database servers or processes. * Knowledge of credit or debit processing. * Adaptability is crucial for success in this position. * Excellent communication skills. * Ability to communicate clearly with technical clients, administrative clients, leaders, and high-level management. * Proficient in analyzing business requirement documents, functional specification documents, technical design documents, preparing test cases, executing tests, verifying results, reporting observations, and tracking defects. * Hands-on experience with project management applications such as JIRA and Confluence is essential. * Experience in integration testing, validation of test results, and extending product support during production and UAT phases is required. Bonus if you have * Experience with FIS Payments One Debit * Testing skills in CONNEX or BASE24 or any "Card Transaction processing Switches" that's run on HP NonStop/Tandem * Experience in using test simulators like PaySim, MasterCard MDS/MAS and VISA VTS simulators. * Experience working in AGILE/SAFE environment. * Knowledge of FIS products and services, financial services industry, E2E, Agile is a plus.
