Job Summary

Under the general direction of the Director/Manager/Supervisor, prepares, repairs, paints, and caulks the building & grounds surfaces, fixtures, signs, and equipment in a safe, effective and efficient manner.

Essential Functions
  • Determines surface conditions and usage to select the correct surface preparation and repairs.

  • Selects the coating types to be applied.

  • Prepares surfaces to be coated by use of abraders, cleaners, spackling, plaster, sizing, wall covering, etc.

  • Performs work in high places, using ladders, scaffolding, etc.

  • Mixes and matches paint and stains as required.

  • Maintains equipment, brushes and other applicators and accomplish minor repairs to equipment.v

  • Assists maintenance staff in maintaining equipment throughout the
    campus and makes minor repairs.

  • Maintains maintenance records.

  • Observes all safety regulations.

  • Assists maintenance staff as assigned.

Range of Pay
  • Between $22.33 and $25.14 per hour, based on experience.

Qualifications

Required

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • LIC-Driver's License - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire

Preferred

  • 1 year of relevant experience 1-3 years in the field of painting
