Position Summary

Coordinates undergraduate and graduate recruitment events for the School of Architecture & Planning, including UNM-hosted and in-house events. Provides tours of George Pearl Hall and represents the School and its programs to prospective students. Designs recruitment materials including brochures, videos, presentations, and other informational items.

* Maintains a recruitment calendar that includes all undergraduate events hosted by the UNM Admissions/Recruitment Office, individual requests for school visits/tours, and any in-house undergraduate or graduate student events including the SA+P Open House.

* Provides coverage for the events or coordinate others to attend

* Creates presentations on the SA+P majors and programs and presents them to individual groups

* Conducts tours of George Pearl Hall

* Assists with the coordination of the SA+P Graduate Student Orientation.

* Designs and develops materials related to recruitment, including printed brochures, videos, presentations, and other items.

Works under the supervision of the Supervisor of Advisement.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Currently an undergraduate student majoring in a BA in Architecture or Environmental Planning & Design, or a graduate student in Architecture, Planning, or Landscape Architecture

* Must be making Satisfactory Academic Progress.

* Must be able to commit to working 10 hrs/wk (may be asked to work as much as 20 hrs/wk, depending on need). Office hours are 8am-5pm (M-F), with some Saturday and evening events possible.

* Proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite, primarily in PhotoShop and Illustrator.

* Must be detail oriented

* Must be a self-starter with the ability to work on projects with little to no supervision
