Position Summary
The University of North Carolina at Greensboro ( UNCG) seeks an experienced and highly skilled Executive Assistant to support the Vice Chancellor for University Advancement. This position plays a critical role in advancing the mission and vision of the Division, providing comprehensive executive-level support while ensuring the efficient management and coordination of the Vice Chancellor's daily operations. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills and will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including donors, alumni, and University leadership, to foster long-term relationships and drive the success of University Advancement's strategic initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications

HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR EQUIVALENCY AND THREE YEARS OF PROGRESSIVELY RESPONSIBLE ADMINISTRATIVE/OFFICE MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE; OR GRADUATION OR ASSOCIATE'S DEGREE IN SECRETARIAL SCIENCE, BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION, OR A RELATED DISCIPLINE AND ONE YEAR OF PROGRESSIVELY RESPONSIBLE ADMINISTRATIVE/OFFICE MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE; OR BACHELOR'S DEGREE, PREFERABLY IN BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION OR A RELATED DISCIPLINE; OR EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE. ALL DEGREES MUST BE RECEIVED FROM APPROPRIATELY ACCREDITED INSTITUTIONS.

Preferred Qualifications


  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related discipline.

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible administrative experience, including experience supporting senior executives (e.g., CEO, CFO, Vice President/Chancellor).

  • Skills & Abilities:

    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage and build relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
    • Experience working with executives with complex schedules.
    • Demonstrated experience in providing exceptional customer service and problem-solving capabilities. Working with Board members and donors is a plus.
    • High level of computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with database systems such as Banner
    • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in an extremely fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
    • Exceptional discretion and the ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the role.
