As part of our industry-leading team, you will help empower results in driving client success by delivering innovative and effective solutions as part of our Casualty Reinsurance Solutions business. Your focus will be on client servicing, reinsurance placement, and generating new business opportunities. You will also help lead the development of targeted sales and marketing strategies to enhance revenue growth in the Casualty product sector.

What the day will look like

  • Acts as the executive liaison for medium to large client transactions
  • Leads negotiations and placements for reinsurance casualty treaties in the US and global markets.
  • Stays informed about market dynamics and risk conditions, using industry expertise to analyze reports and develop innovative strategies for complex client challenges.
  • Communicates Aon's Casualty reinsurance solutions value effectively to drive revenue growth.
  • Cultivates strong partnerships with (re)insurers and clients, utilizing specialists to deliver tailored Casualty solutions. Coordinates internal resources for optimal client outcomes.
  • Prospects for new clients, designs customized programs, and oversees placements with approved reinsurers.
  • May participate in strategic planning, setting targeted pipeline and revenue targets management team.
  • Oversees responses to client queries and concerns, ensuring issues are resolved completely and promptly.
  • May review and guide the Client on the terms and conditions required to be executed by clients to support all Casualty transactions.
  • Develops comprehensive new business sales and development plans for identified targeted prospects and existing clients.
  • Works closely in collaboration with broking teams across solution lines to focus efforts on the development of new business and building relationships with clients and prospects that align with business targets, with the understanding that volume of prospecting activity is essential.
  • Identifies specific client and prospect needs and develops innovative and cost-effective solutions.
  • Maintains a thorough understanding and knowledge of all available Aon resources and solutions available and matching those to client business requirements.
  • Achieves high client satisfaction by providing exceptional service.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Bachelor's degree in business studies, Finance, Economics, or Insurance Law preferred
  • At least 10 years of related experience in placing property-casualty Treaty Reinsurance programs as a broker
  • Deep expertise of the global reinsurance market including coverage, placement structures, markets and rating structures of insurance and reinsurance companies
  • Previous formal or informal experience in managing direct reports.
  • Ability to analyze financial and actuarial reports.
  • Familiarity with catastrophe modeling and using insights to effectively communicate our valued solutions.
  • Excellent negotiation and sales skills.
  • Experience global markets including London, the US, and Europe.
  • Background in placing reinsurance for captives and alternative risk transfer solutions preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Willingness to work beyond regular hours and travel domestically and abroad.

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $200,000-250,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.
