Associate Laboratory Technician

12 month W2 contract (with potential to extend or transition to perm)
Pay rate: $18-22/hr - Depending on Education and Experience

We are looking for a motivated lab tech to join our global non-profit client at their Narrows, VA location. You will help provide technical support that focuses on the production of specialty materials technology.

Shift:

First Shift-7am -3:30pm

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support by operating lab pilot-scale mixers, pumps, and tanks according to a provided trial plan or procedure.
• Review of process controls and data for report out and further optimization.
• Effectively communicate data and trial learnings to coordinator for continuous improvement.
• Employee will be expected to use initiative and troubleshooting skills to help identify problems and implement corrective actions.

Skills or Requirements:

• 5+ years of relevant work experience in manufacturing, process laboratory environment, or hands-on research facility.
• Mechanical acumen and chemical handling experience preferred.
• Employee must be able to work independently with limited instruction.
• Must be able to lift up to 50-lbs and move heavy items with assistance occasionally.
• Advanced Excel and Word 6.0 for windows.
