Pay Range: $111,600- $136,656 Annually

This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. Job Description

We're looking for an Assurance Analyst to facilitate implementation of solutions for and own agreement management, licensing, financial management, distribution management, and reporting activities. You will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with executed agreements, managing financial obligations, and maintaining accurate records, while interacting effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

This position may offer a hybrid schedule, which includes the flexibility to work from home one or moredays per week, after a probationary period. The specifics of the hybrid schedule, including the exact number of days required in the office and virtual work options may vary based on the needs of the team and the organization.

You will

  • Analyze, monitor progress, and validate adherence to agreement terms, record obligations and receipts, recommend lifecycle actions, and identify risks with mitigation strategies. Ensure compliance with financial and licensing obligations.
  • Update and manage agreement records, document assurance actions, and standard operating procedures for post-execution processes.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, advise on compliance expectations, and configure patent expense reimbursement terms.
  • Be responsible for, and work across disciplines to build fully functional and controlled business processes related to, adding licenses to the system, configuring terms and recurring obligations, assigning patents, setting up financial obligations, and managing receivables, invoices, and payments.
  • Analyze and configure terms and financial requirements due to amendments, identify efficiencies and streamline the verifications of cash receipts and patent payments, and ensure accurate financial data input.
  • Facilitate and contribute to the distribution management process including, configuring and assigning distribution policies, calculating disbursement amounts, verifying year-end totals, and generating distribution reports, including Inter-Institutional Agreement (IIA) partner payments. Track royalty and milestone payments.
  • Lead research and documentation efforts including acquiring Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) final reports, tracking Technology Commercialization Fund (TCF) data, and preparing reports for inventors, stakeholders, and external data calls.
  • Perform monthly audits to verify receipts, terms, and payments, ensure updates in systems, and serve as liaison for audit coordination.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Ability to secure and maintain a U.S. DOE Q-level security clearance which requires U.S. citizenship.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related area or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • Specialist knowledge and understanding of business and financial systems and processes, including distribution systems; financial business principles, regulatory requirements, process efficiency concepts, industry best practices, and standards implementation.
  • Significant experience gathering, analyzing, evaluating, and interpreting data; interpreting guidelines, regulations, and legal or financial documents; conducting quality assurance and data reconciliation.
  • Experience using MS Office business applications, Adobe Pro, and web-based collaborative platforms, such as Teams and SharePoint, and ability to learn new software applications quickly.
  • Significant experience analyzing current business processes and systems for efficiencies, cost reductions, and streamlining operations. Experience developing business process documentation and training materials.
  • Experience performing data analysis, developing metrics to assess functional performance, and usage of report information to continually improve reporting capabilities.
  • Advanced interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills necessary to interact effectively with multi-disciplinary team members and stakeholders internal and external to the Laboratory.
  • Advanced organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple and complex tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with short deadlines and frequent interruptions.

Qualifications We Desire

  • Experience working in a technology transfer office or a similar environment.
  • Knowledge of DOE regulations related to intellectual property.
  • Familiarity with intellectual property management software (e.g., Inteum, Sophia, or similar platforms).

Security Clearance

This position requires a Department of Energy (DOE) Q-level clearance.If you are selected, wewill initiate a Federal background investigation to determine if youmeet eligibility requirements for access to classified information or matter. Also, all L or Q cleared employees are subject to random drug testing. Q-level clearance requires U.S. citizenship.
