Short Description

  • Responsible for installations, maintenance and repair of hospital electrical systems and all related equipment and personnel assigned and providing support services to other areas of the department.
  • All work and related duties are to be performed in compliance with local and state codes

Experience Required

  • Skill and proficiency in all phases of hospital electric systems and equipment, emergency generators, low voltage systems and ability to read and use blueprints and schematics.
  • Knowledge of local, state and federal electrical codes and ordinances related to hospital facilities and ability to properly interpret them.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of personnel to plan and schedule work as needed.

Education Requirements

  • High school graduate or GED recipient

License/Certification Requirements

  • Current state Master Electrician license required.
  • Valid NJ driver's license required.

Special Requirements

  • Frequent walking, climbing, sitting, bending and stooping.
  • Frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions; including extreme hot and cold temperatures.
  • Ability to move or lift tools/equipment in excess of 100 pounds on an occasional basis
