Job Description:The Patient Access Services (PAS) ED Registrar I is responsible for clerical duties associated with greeting patients in the Emergency Department to coordinate registration and information processing requirements associated with Emergency Department services. The person in this role works under the direct supervision of the department supervisor. Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent - Preferred Experience: 2 years - Customer Service - Preferred 2 years - Registration- Admitting - Revenue Cycle - Business Office - Preferred Skills: Good spelling and grammar skills. Keyboard by touch. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Must have excellent communication and customer skills and be able to respond to a variety of circumstances with compassion, patience and flexibility, sometimes under difficult circumstances. Able to work in as established time frame with attention to detail and accuracy. Demonstrates willingness and ability to gain experience in new software programs as needed. Microsoft Excel/Word skills. Possess the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Electronic Medical Record (EPIC) preferred. days worked per week: variable Work Shift:08.0 - 22:00 - 06:30 No Waive (United States of America) Pay Range: $31.68 - $41.91 Hourly Offer amounts are based on demonstrated/relevant experience and/or licensure. Pay will be adjusted to the local market if hired outside of the Bay Area. Note: Positions at JMH which are exempt (not eligible for overtime) under the level of Manager are listed as hourly for compensation purposes on this posting.
