Job Description: Wingtips Lounge is a passenger lounge inside an airport environment that offers an upscale, VIP guest experience allowing passengers to escape the hectic chaos of the airport. Wingtips offers a variety of complementary amenities to allow our guests to work, relax, or unwind prior to boarding their flight. The Lounge Host will be responsible for welcoming guests into Wingtips Lounge and provide friendly, professional, and exceptional customer service upon guests checking into the lounge. With the first interaction with the customer, the Host must be helpful, friendly, courteous and professional. The ideal candidate will have highly interactive personal skills and can engage with a wide variety of people. Must possess the ability to communicate with customers and fellow employees and serve as a team player under all types of conditions. Every guest contact begins and ends with your smile. Sharp and professional business etiquette is required. Uniform is mandatory; partial uniform provided. Responsibilities:
- Greet guests, explain the lounge concept and accurately check guests in on system.
- Provide friendly and professional service to guests, communicating with them by name whenever possible.
- Always remain visible throughout lounge with an approachable look and stance.
- Offer amenities to guests as needed.
- Respond to guest requests for assistance or information on Airport/Airline operations.
- Interact with guests, take customer orders, prepare drinks as requested and trained.
- Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience.
- Manage multiple guest tabs and correctly manage guest payment in a point-of-sale system.
- Perform close-out paperwork at the end of each shift including reconciling data.
- Stock and replenish lounge items as needed.
- Check restrooms for cleanliness and restock as needed.
- Operate a credit card/electronic payment register and follows all cash-handling procedures as required.
- Report all accidents and injuries in a timely manner.
- Comply with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures.
- Participate in regular safety meetings, safety training and hazard assessments.
- Attend training programs (classroom and virtual) as designated.
- May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Knowledge of kitchen utensils to mix, wash, peel, cut, grind, stir, strain and season foodstuffs for cooking, serving and storing.
- Minimum one-year related customer experiences working in a high-end hotel, restaurant, private club, or lounge environment.
- Knowledge of POS, credit card/electronic payment register and follows all cash-handling procedures as required.
- Must be flexible to work various shifts, nights, weekends, holidays, extended hours.
- Always maintains a clean and professional appearance.
- Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push, pull, lift, or otherwise move up to 50 pounds.
- Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience.
- Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must be able to obtain airport security clearance. Detail oriented, excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
Alliance Ground International operates twenty-four hours a day seven days a week in three operational shifts, AGI requires its employees to be able to work flexible schedules which may be adjusted to meet operational demands such as flight delays, cancellations, or additional flight activities.
