The McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia applicants for an Instructional Technology Specialist. This role will address client needs with the development of appropriate strategies for implementing learning technology across a broad range of academic programs and initiatives. They provide training, documentation, testing, and technical support. The role manages course development and delivery for the McIntire school's online and hybrid programs as well as provides support for traditional programs making use of LMS tools. Key Responsibilities: Online Course Management System - 50%
Support and Training for Information Platforms - 30%
Innovation for Online and Hybrid Programs - 10%

The candidate should have demonstrated success in managing effective teams built on trust, open communication, and shared goals. Strong written and oral communication skills are essential, along with the ability to connect with and support the career and educational needs of college students. Experience in program management and budgeting is important, as is the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment. We are seeking someone who has participated in communities that value excellence and who has experience working with multiple constituencies and navigating layered governance structures. The ideal candidate will be a strong decision maker with excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills, committed to a culture of customer service. Adaptability, resilience, and technological proficiency in online education environments are key, along with experience in instructional design. Anticipated hiring range: $65,000 - $75,000, commensurate with education and experience. This is an Exempt level, benefited position.
