Auria is looking to hire a Software Engineer / Product Owner to support the Command, Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) program. Primary work location is in Colorado Springs, CO at Schriever Space Force Base.
Essential Functions:
- This position is for a Mid-Level Engineer on the C2BMC JEMINI program to serve as Product Owner of our GloMA team.
- The selected candidate will primarily be responsible for a software development using Java.
- A successful candidate will be able to:
- Interact with other people using good verbal and written communication skills
- Work independently or with a small group
- Be flexible in a highly dynamic and ever-changing environment
- Provide leadership for a software team that performs in-depth analysis and technical support of a large, distributed system written in Java
- Perform complex problem resolution assisting software team in design, development, testing, integration, and user-support for a large code baseline
- Follow specifications in order to develop or modify stories for the software team to work
- Assist in removing blockers from software team
- Interface with other system support groups and software leadership to resolve problems, set standards and improve overall efficiency of the system
Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university and 8 years of related experience
- or a Master's degree in a STEM discipline and 6 years of experience,
- or a PhD and 4 years of experience,
- or 12 years of related experience in lieu of a degree may be considered.
- Java experience
- Knowledge of software practices and coding standards
- Strong problem solving skills, including the ability to review performance issues, identify root cause, recommend and develop a solution
Preferred Qualifications:
- Command and control system application development
- Previous experience with message translation software Automated test and pipeline development experience
- Experience developing software for Unix/Linux and Windows platforms
- Experience with Software Integration testing including developing automated test scripts
- Experience with Risk Management Framework/STIG/Fortify mitigation
- Prior experience designing and developing microservices and deploying with containers; experience setting up a container environment
- Security+ certification
Salary Range:The salary offered will be based on the selected candidate's qualifications - skills, education & experience - and the position level ($134,000 - $145,000).
