The Job at a Glance

The Product Compliance Analyst (A.K.A. the Overseas Data Detective) will collaborate with teams responsible for obtaining product safety data sheets (SDS) and comprehensive chemical inventory. They will identify and analyze applicable regulations for chemicals in various regions worldwide, recommend compliance steps, and establish and maintain procedures to manage information and processes.

A Typical Day

  • Collaborate with Parts Town Unlimited companies
  • Work closely with the Purchasing teams, Global Fulfilment Center teams, and our vendors to obtain and review product safety data sheets (SDS) for all chemicals and materials in our inventory.
  • Provide training and support to our internal teams regarding compliance procedures and regulatory updates.
  • Develop and maintain an accurate and up-to-date chemical inventory, ensuring all relevant information is recorded and accessible.
  • Analyze and identify regulations applicable to chemicals in different regions globally (including, but not limited to: EPA, DOT, GHS, OSHA, and REACH).
  • Provide recommendations and guidance to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed documentation and reports related to chemical compliance and regulatory requirements.

To Land This Opportunity

  • You are very familiar with chemistry and/or science (a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, or a related field is a real bonus!).
  • You have experience in product compliance, regulatory affairs, or a similar role.
  • You are analytical and have strong problem-solving skills.
  • You have excellent organizational and project management skills!
  • You are adaptable and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • You are a process improvement champion and collaborate well with others.

  • You consider yourself a pro in Microsoft Office products (experience in Microsoft Excel, Access, and SAP is preferred).
  • You're an all-star communicator and are proficient in English (both written and verbal). If you are bilingual, that's a real bonus!
  • You have a quality, high-speed internet connection at home.
  • You are available M-F between the hours of 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM (CST) with flexibility as needed.

The salary range for this role is $60,842.95 - $81,408.57 ($29.25 - $39.14 hourly) which is based on including but not limited to qualifications, experience, and geographical location. Parts Town is a pay for performance-company. In addition to base pay, some roles offer a profit-sharing program, and an annual bonus depending on the role. Our comprehensive benefits package includes health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k) with match, employee assistance programs, paid time off, paid sick time off, paid holidays, paid parental leave, and professional development opportunities.
