Summary/Objective
The Excel Center Kansas City is an accredited, free high school serving Missouri residents age 21+ in the Kansas City area who want to earn a high school diploma. The school will eventually be located at Bannister Rd & Hwy 435 and provides students with transcript assistance, coaching and life/learning barrier assistance, and drop-in childcare with five terms per year. Opening in Fall 2025.
The Registrar is responsible for all student academic recordkeeping for the Goodwill of Western Missouri and Eastern Kansas Excel Centers. This includes compiling, maintaining, and tracking student academic information and records for internal and external evaluation and/or use. The Registrar acts as the central records facilitator for permanent academic information on current and prior students. The role supports the instructional team in meeting the educational goals and adhering to all state of Missouri and accreditation academic standards. Essential Functions and Responsibilities

- Acts as the central records facilitator for permanent academic information on all students that meets all academic, accreditation, and state standards and requirements.
- Acts as the central records facilitator and liaison for Skilled Up Missouri jobs programs and accounting.
- Responsible for accurately supporting and recordkeeping of the instructional team scheduling and requirements.
- Responsible for ensuring accurate and effective student and scheduling recordkeeping for the Excel Center Kansas City.
- Acts as the subject matter expert for all school academic recordkeeping.
- Enter, organize, track, report, and manage student academic records related to registration, enrollment, attendance, scheduling, and grades of students for internal and external evaluation and decision-making and in the daily operation of educational departments.
- Manages, monitors, and maintains all new, current, and archived student information ensuring the data integrity in the student information system database.
- Collects, interprets, and examines data to identify root causes, evaluate actions, and continuously improve processes to achieve program goals.
- Enters student information system data including student demographics, academic history, transcripts, and testing information.
- Enters student grades, finalizes, and signs off on transcripts.
- Assists in graduation audits in conjunction with School Director.
- Maintain familiarity with Missouri Department of Education reporting and graduation requirements.
- Works in partnership with students and other schools to secure supplemental information such as transcripts or school reports to complete and maintain student files.
- Ensures compliance with administrative policies and procedures.
- Responsible for adhering to ethics, procedures, and protocol, including maintaining confidentiality, systems, and adheres to the Excel Center and Goodwill values.
- Supports and assists with students, community, and student outreach.
- Supports school success working with information, goals, and reporting to develop and implement school-wide goals around graduation outcomes, enrollment needs, student achievement, retention, etc.
- Sets and maintains a high-level of customer services with students, staff, and community.
- Participates in student recruitment, enrollment, and outreach efforts.
- May serve as substitute for school positions such as teacher or daycare.
- Develops personal professional/performance goals and action plans to reach goals. Reflects on prior goals and makes adjustments to professional practice and goals.
- Works with the team to make valued contributions in order to achieve the required goals and outcomes.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
The role will be a proven leader with the following:
- Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred in business administration, education, data management, or related field.
- At least one (1) to three (3) years of experience in student management systems administrative work, including organizing, tracking, and maintaining student records related to registration, enrollment attendance, scheduling and grades.
- Experience and working knowledge with education reporting and graduation requirements. Missouri Department of Education preferred.
- Demonstrated experience using G Suite Google Workspace and/or student information systems .
- Technical Proficiency and demonstrated working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint), and the internet is required.
- Excellent and appropriate communication skills as needed for a professional and academic environment using verbal, written, presentation, visual, non-verbal, digital and listening. The ability to deliver information to a variety of audiences.
- Organizational Aptitude: Excellent planning and organizing skills; ability to prioritize, multi-task, with extremely thorough attention to detail and follow-through. Has a passion for accuracy.
- Demonstrated ability to provide strong customer service with an effective unbiased, can-do, professional attitude.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work/Travel
- This is a full-time position.
- Work hours are generally Monday - Friday 8:00am-5:00pm, however work schedule will vary as based on the needs of the business.
- Evening or weekend work is expected to meet the needs of the role; the school hours may include evening classes as well as meetings and events.
- Day-time travel within the MoKan region will be required.
- Overnight travel is not expected but will be limited by need and/or approval.

This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment. This job also may operate in varied environments which may include store, warehouse, mobile workforce unit, and office. May work with diverse cultures and ethnicities, as well as justice involved individuals.
