Job Purpose:

This position will provide day to day support to plan Sponsors to ensure compliance with ERISA rules and regulations for the plan. Will keep Plan Sponsors, Sales Team and Financial Advisors (FA) informed of new regulations and plan issues, oversee compliance and testing for the plans. Research issues and suggest changes to plan design as needed. Will support plan audits. Will work as part of a support team focused on exceptional client service and act as a mentor to other team members for training and support. Remote work opportunities would be considered with this role.

Job Duties:

  • Responsible for completing quarterly Sponsor check in calls for your assigned accounts.
  • Will be primary Sponsor contact to initiate all activities for plans.
  • Process fund change letters semi-annual or as needed.
  • Will be responsible for communicating with Financial Advisors in regard to contacts and plan changes.
  • Responsible for document changes that are IRS required or Ad-Hoc requests.
  • Will be responsible for problem solving and researching to ensure plans are compliant.
  • Review end of year Profit sharing calculations
  • Will act as the point of contact to ensure timely completion of required and requested items by Financial Advisors.
  • Responsible for being the lead and contact person for plan audits.
  • Will be responsible for mailing all marketing items required to Plan Sponsor and participants based upon account needs.
  • Will manage annual notice process for your book of accounts.
  • Request from Client and manage annual census data collection
  • Manage timely filing of required government reports such as 5500
  • Responsible for coordinating, scheduling and assisting Financial Advisor with participant enrollment or annual meetings.
  • Will support Sales Team by completing the following tasks:
  • Plan On-Boarding
  • Fee Analysis for new plans
  • Create and supply documents for Clients as needed
  • Will provide backup support of other Relationship Managers as needed.
  • Will complete InvestorsView Reg R reviews for assigned accounts

Operations Duties:

  • Will be responsible for processing manual payrolls in the system.
  • Will be responsible for Processing deposits and special requests for Balanced Forward plans and Union accounts
  • Responsible for Annual Fee Tier review for your assigned plans.
  • Will perform special projects as assigned.

Education, Experience and Job Skills:

  • Associate's degree in business or equivalent work experience required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Five years of experience working in a financial services environment.
  • Advanced Word, Excel, PowerPoint software and experience at adapting those to particular support needs is required.
  • Must consistently produce work with a very high degree of accuracy.
  • Flexible in changing priorities and working on multiple projects at once.
  • Ability to prioritize work in a multi-task environment is essential.
  • Resourceful in finding information and solutions, and able to think ahead to next steps.
  • Must possess strong interpersonal, and communication skills, especially over the telephone.
  • Must be able to maintain positive experience for clients, and associates, regardless of workload.
  • Self-motivated individual with effective office Administration skills
  • Maintain basic knowledge of retirement plan technical, legal, and regulatory topics.
  • Team player.

Basis Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in business or equivalent work experience required.
  • Five years of experience working in a financial services environment.
