Job Purpose Job Duties and Responsibilities
* Support daily production to ensure equipment uptime and appropriate throughputs are being achieved hourly and daily. * Knowledge of aluminum brazing of thin plates. Conduct monthly temperature profile measurement. * Manage nitrogen usage for furnace environment. * Conduct monthly thermocouple efficiency checks. * Manage end of furnace process automated equipment (leak test, laser, braze fixture disassembly). * Working with sales, quality, and engineering to ensure product launches are completed on time. * Troubleshoot equipment, working with outside vendors and maintenance to ensure equipment runs as required. * Prepare product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends * Participate as a key member in implementing DOS principles and philosophies throughout the plant. Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout. * Ensure adherence to the Contractor Safety Program. * Work with Team Leaders and Production Supervisor/Manager to drive continual improvement activities with the goal of improving overall plant KPI's (Key Performance Indicators). Education and/or Experience * Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or Engineering Technology degree or diploma * Knowledge of Fluid Mechanics and/or Materials are an asset * 1+ years of experience in manufacturing environment Preferred Qualifications: * Knowledge of Six Sigma practices and problem-solving techniques * Experience with continuous belt furnaces. * Experience with material handling robots * Intermediate to Advanced MS Office skills, including Excel and PowerPoint, * Good organizational & time management skills, * Ability to work independently to support the engineering and production team. |
