See What We're All About

As the fastest-growing distributor of restaurant equipment, HVAC and residential appliance parts, we like to do things a little differently. First, you need to understand and demonstrate our Core Values with safety being your first priority. That's key. But we're also looking for unique enthusiasm, high integrity, courage to embrace change...and if you know a few jokes, that puts you on the top of our list!

Do you have a genius-level knowledge of original equipment manufacturer parts? If not, no problem! We're more interested in passionate people with fresh ideas from different backgrounds. That's what keeps us at the top of our game. We're proud that our workplace has been recognized for its growth and innovation on the Inc. 5000 list 15 years in a row and the Crain's Fast 50 list ten times. We are honored to be voted by our Chicagoland team as a Chicago Tribune Top Workplace for the last four years.

The Job at a Glance

As our Digital Sales and Ecommerce Intern, you'll play a key role in making our product pages shine across marketplaces like Amazon, eBay, and Walmart. This isn't just data entry (though you'll definitely flex those Excel skills!) - you'll get hands-on experience in usability testing, quality assurance, product data management, and content optimization.

This internship is designed to give you real-world experience in a fast-paced, innovative environment, while helping you build valuable business skills, grow your professional confidence, and explore different areas of digital sales and ecommerce. You'll walk away with a better understanding of how ecommerce truly works - and maybe even what you want to do as you venture into your career![MS1]

A Typical Day

  • Work through a backlog of product detail pages across Amazon, eBay, and Walmart to improve content quality and correct existing errors
  • Update and enhance product descriptions to boost content scores and improve conversion rates on marketplaces
  • Use Excel to track all updates made, maintaining organized documentation of completed work
  • Collaborate with the Product Data and QA teams to identify and log usability issues and bugs in our websites and mobile app
  • Curate product data such as manuals, model attributes, fitment details, and diagrams to enrich listings
  • Test features manually across platforms, document bugs using tools like JIRA and Excel
  • Meet weekly targets for pages cleaned up, bugs identified, and enhancements suggested

To Land This Opportunity

  • You're an undergraduate student in a relevant field like business, engineering, marketing, or finance
  • You're passionate about learning and genuinely curious about how ecommerce content drives performance.
  • You have strong organizational skills and are comfortable working with Excel to manage and track large volumes of data
  • You are highly detail-oriented and analytical, with the discipline to work independently and meet deadlines
  • You're a team player who thrives in collaborative environments and communicates clearly
  • Your passionate about customers - always thinking about what makes a product page better and more useful for the end user
  • You're confident using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and eager to strengthen your technical and ecommerce skills
