The Job at a Glance

As a Finance & Accounting Intern, you'll take on a high-impact project focused role on analyzing credit card usage and driving payment efficiencies across Parts Town. You'll dig into transaction-level data, uncover trends, and help shape outbound strategies to reduce costly credit card usage and encourage ACH conversion - directly supporting profitability and working capital improvements.

Throughout the internship, you'll work closely with the Accounting and Finance team, building technical and communication skills while gaining exposure to cash reconciliation, customer behavior analytics, and campaign execution. This opportunity is designed to immerse you in a fast-paced, innovative environment where you can build confidence and walk away with more knowledge and a clearer picture of where you want to go in your career.

A Typical Day

  • Analyzing credit card fees using Excel and Qlik to identify customers with high usage and low profitability
  • Segmenting top credit card users by volume and creating a prioritized target list for outreach
  • Assisting with the creation and rollout of an outbound campaign to reduce credit card usage among terms customers
  • Reviewing campaign performance and calculating annualized cost avoidance from conversions
  • Tracking DSO (days sales outstanding) and analyzing the sales impact of changing payment behavior
  • Learning and mapping the credit card settlement and cash reconciliation process
  • Preparing updates and summaries to share progress with key stakeholders
  • Participating in regular check-ins with finance partners

To Land This Opportunity

  • You're working toward a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • You have strong Excel skills and feel confident managing and analyzing large datasets with knowledge bonus points if you're familiar with Qlik
  • You're analytical, curious, and naturally inclined to dig into data to find patterns or insights
  • You have a strong interest in finance, accounting, or payments, with a basic understanding of cash accounting and working capital
  • Self-motivated and proactive - you're not afraid to ask questions and want to learn by doing
  • Comfortable receiving and applying feedback
  • You're an all-star communicator and are proficient in English (both written and verbal)

Parts Town is a pay for performance-company. In addition to base pay, some roles offer a profit-sharing program, and an annual bonus depending on the role.
