The Scholar Program at Volkswagen Group of America offers university sophomores and above the opportunity to apply and expand their classroom knowledge through hands-on experience in our state-of-the-art production facility. This program also helps Volkswagen Chattanooga develop potential talent for future entry-level positions. The program runs fromJune 2nd 2025, to May 29, 2026. Participants workpart-time(minimum of 15 hours per week during business hours) while classes are in session andfull-time(up to 40 hours per week) during school breaks.To be eligible, candidates must be enrolled at an accredited post-secondary institution. Applicants who do not meet this requirement will not be considered. Summary
The Human Resource Scholar will work directly with the HR Operations team in the Chattanooga Manufacturing plant. This role involves researching, analyzing, and developing solutions to address absenteeism due to sickness within our organization. The successful candidate will work closely with the health and safety team to identify root causes and implement strategies to reduce sick-related absences. Additionally, the candidate will provide support in day-to-day business operations, including preparing presentations for senior leadership and managing office tasks. This role reports directly to the VP / Head of HR Operations Chattanooga, requiring a high level of professionalism, confidentiality, and reliability. Responsibilities
Qualifications
Master's degree preferred, Bachelor's degree welcome in HR, Psychology, Organizational Development, International Management/Business, or related fields.
