Security Professional - Distribution Patrol

As a Security Professional - Distribution Patrol in Beltsville, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution and more .

As an Access Control Officer in a logistics and distribution environment, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help to deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure atmosphere. Your presence and routine patrols contribute to a welcoming environment, while your strong communication and customer service skills support those on site. You will work as part of a team that values agility, reliability, and innovation, always putting people first and acting with integrity. This post does not require driving or armed responsibilities.

Pay Rate: $17.01 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Responsibilities:

Provide customer service by following access control procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within logistics and distribution locations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and monitor for security-related incidents.
• Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized individuals from accessing restricted areas.
• Document and report any security-related incidents or unusual activities observed during patrols or while monitoring access points.

Minimum Requirements:

• Maryland Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• A valid Guard Card or security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
