We are currently hiring for:

Job Title: Research and Development Systems Coordinator

Job Summary: The Research and Development Systems Coordinator position is all encompassing of the R&D department. The primary responsibility is the specifications that are overseen by the R&D department, internal specs, cold storage specs, and raw material specs. This position all so handles the day to day accounting functions and purchasing needs of R&D. Maintaining files for HACCP documentation, ingredients, pilot plant supplies. Daily clerical work and assisting with data input for projects into our Salesforce Project Management system. Basic understanding of plant processes to help write specs and perform product cuttings with the R & D Team.

Job Responsibilities:




  • Create and maintain product specifications for all products at all WLF Plants. This entails daily updates/changes and continuous improvement to these specifications.


  • Tracegains System Administration.
  • Create and maintain all cold storage facility specs(example: DC's in MTP, TRE, and Iowa City) Communicate with cold storages or HPP Tolling locations.
  • Create and maintain batch sheets for all WLF Plants. Work with project leaders to ensure correct information is on these batch sheets at all times. Responsible for uploading them onto the internal spec system.
  • Attend execute and launch meetings to keep up on upcoming projects- to create specifications .
  • Administration duties for the pilot plant, including looking up information in QAD, Cyberquery and assist with running reports.
  • Order and receive supplies in QAD.
  • Accounting work in EAM for Chemistry Testing and Invoicing (Silliker-Aegis) entering and receiving supplies, meats, and etc....that comes into R&D daily in QAD and EAM Systems
  • Create and maintain AQLs.
  • Create and maintain raw specs.
  • Ship samples to customers.
  • Assist in pilot plant production.
  • Daily USDA paperwork and monthly entry of verification activities.
  • Pull meat and supplies from main plant for day to day needs.
  • Inventory sourcing, tracking tests in system.
  • Perform scale calibration and ice monitoring.
  • Manage cooler inventories.
  • Assist QA Lab with frozen shelf life.
  • Coordinate maintenance work and communicate down equipment.
  • General housekeeping and supply refill.
  • Monitor spice inventory and maintain shelf life of ingredients.
  • Coordinate offal scheduling in pilot plant.
  • All other duties as assigned.


Job Requirements:



  • 1-2 years of related experience is preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Must be safety, quality, and efficiency minded.
  • Ability to occasionally lift between 21-50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for long periods.
  • Must be able to work overtime and/or weekends as needed.
  • Candidates must successfully pass post-offer/pre-employment drug test, background screen and physical.
