Family Food Truck Summer Program Coordinator

This is a seasonal part time position that will start on May 19, 2025 and end on August 1, 2025

The working hours will be Monday-Friday from 3pm to 7:30pm.

Starting pay is $19 per hour.

Summary/Primary Purpose: The FFT Summer Program Coordinator oversees and coordinates the Salvation Army's Family Food Truck program operation by SFSP rules and regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  1. Ensure all staff and resources are well prepared for program and service delivery.
  2. Ensure completion of daily checklists, including truck inventory, sanitation, and safety.
  3. Ensure food safety procedures are followed by training and providing supervision.
  4. Document program requirements, including food safety and meals served.
  5. Ensure children and attending parents follow all site rules.
  6. Communicate daily with the management team.
  7. Adherence to regulations of USDA-funded childhood feeding programs.
  8. Assist with other duties of TSA as needed and directed.
  9. Assist in the program marketing and recruitment of participants before and during KCK operation.



  1. All other duties as assigned, including driving a route when volunteers are unavailable.



Supervisory Responsibilities: Provide supervision to drivers and site assistants.

Qualifications, Education, and/or Experience:



  1. Commitment to The Salvation Army's mission and values.
  2. Some leadership and management experience
  3. High School graduate or GED required.
  4. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  5. Professional demeanor.
  6. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  7. Maintain a valid driver's license.


Other Qualifications: Must pass all applicable background checks. Must possess a valid driver's license from the state in which you reside. Must be approved through The Salvation Army Fleet Safety Program to drive either a Salvation Army or personal vehicle on Salvation Army business. Must complete Safe from Harm training within 90 days of hire, as established by The Salvation Army.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to remain in a standing and moving position 90% of the time. Heavy work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly, to move objects. Repetitive movement of hands, arms, and legs.

Working Conditions: The worker is subject to hazards including close proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, exposure to heat and cold or exposure to chemicals.
