50BRKTH Breakthrough POSITION SUMMARYAs the Sr. Client Delivery Manager, you will act as a strategic advisor in developing and executing transportation strategies that reduce costs, improve service, and enhance efficiency. With a strong analytical background, you will support the design of optimized transportation networks, uncover cost-saving opportunities, and leverage performance data to drive continuous improvement. You will streamline operations by implementing best practices and identifying automation opportunities, both for clients and within Breakthrough. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and client-facing engagement to deliver measurable value across complex transportation environments.

This position will be located at our office in Green Bay, WI. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Cultivate strong, strategic relationships with a vast breadth of client stakeholders (Ex: Transportation VP, Procurement Directors, Finance directors, Operations directors and managers), serving as their trusted transportation advisor and primary point of contact.
  • Lead the development and execution of data-driven transportation strategies focused on optimizing cost, service, and operational efficiency across client freight networks.
  • Apply advanced analytical skills to evaluate transportation network performance, identify inefficiencies, and uncover savings opportunities using KPIs, benchmarks, and configurable models.
  • Leverage deep knowledge of freight procurement, carrier strategy, and the Request for Proposal (RFP) process to lead sourcing events and long-term carrier optimization.
  • Deliver year-over-year cost savings for client freight networks through proactive management, strategic sourcing, and ongoing network refinement.
  • Oversee end-to-end client implementations and continued connectivity, ensuring smooth transitions and enabling long-term strategic value through structured change management.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to manage workstreams, align deliverables, and serve as the key liaison between the client and Breakthrough's subject matter experts
  • Analyze and optimize transportation networks with consideration for modal mix, route structure, service levels, and freight economics using Breakthrough's Network Intelligence platform, sustainability tools, and advanced data capabilities to inform client-specific strategy recommendations
  • Lead client-facing projects, prioritize initiatives based on impact and immediacy, and track results against defined metrics.
  • Support client adoption and utilization of FELIX, ensuring consistent engagement with insights and tools.
  • Foster communication across all levels of the client organization to build trust, align goals, and ensure long-lasting relationships.
  • Manage carrier and third-party relationships as needed, responding to inquiries and coordinating with internal resources.
  • Continuously champion innovation and process improvement, identifying automation opportunities and operational enhancements both for clients and internally

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Analytics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
  • 5-10 years of progressive experience in transportation strategy, freight procurement, and/or logistics operations, or leading freight RFPs, with a proven track record of delivering year-over-year freight cost savings
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets, build models, and develop actionable insights that inform strategic decisions
  • Proven ability to lead client engagements and manage cross-functional projects across implementation, research, and data teams
  • Excellent relationship-building skills and experience serving as a strategic advisor to client stakeholders across multiple levels of an organization
  • High level of business acumen, including an understanding of how transportation decisions impact broader supply chain and financial performance
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills with the ability to translate technical insights into clear, compelling recommendations
  • Self-starter with a high degree of independence and ownership; thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments and adapts quickly to shifting priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to influence client decision-making through subject matter expertise while maintaining humility
  • Effective program and project management capabilities, including the ability to coordinate multiple workstreams and drive measurable outcomes
  • Industry experience with shipper-carrier dynamics and the broader freight ecosystem, including third-party logistics providers and contract negotiations
  • Expert level in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and transportation analytics tools; experience with ERP or TMS platforms and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau) is a plus
