What Your Job Will Be Like: We are seeking an R&D Radar Design/Integration Engineer to participate in the development of RF system designs and concepts in support of future Nuclear Deterrence applications. We partner across the laboratory to prepare technologies to support future nuclear weapon fuzing requirements. This person will perform modeling and simulation, design and analysis activities and participate in experimental testing of completed designs. This position is eligible for telecommuting and the selected applicant must live within a reasonable distance for commuting to the assigned work location when necessary. Salary Range: $114,000 - $227,500 *Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential. About Our Team: Our department is responsible for understanding the upcoming fuzing needs for both the NNSA and the Department of Defense to develop concepts and technologies that meet future needs. We engage sponsors of existing nuclear weapon fuzes to define, prototype, and test aspects of fuzing including radar, inertial subsystems, and the system controller, as well as the assured communication buses which exchange data within the weapon systems. Our capabilities include an understanding of nuclear weapon fuzes and their hardware and firmware subsystems including RFIC design, radar analysis, FPGA design, and RF hardware engineering. Posting Duration: This posting will be open for application submissions for a minimum of seven (7) calendar days, including the 'posting date'.
