THE JOB:
As the Executive Sous Chef at Block 16 at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, your role will combine culinary mastery with leadership to set the bar for excellence in both food and service. You'll ensure every dish meets the highest standards of quality, while mentoring and guiding a talented kitchen team. Your leadership will be key in creating a collaborative, efficient environment where creativity and excellence thrive. By understanding each guest's unique needs, you'll help craft unforgettable dining experiences that leave a lasting impression, making every visit special.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, including budget management, scheduling, inventory control, and team leadership.
  • Develop and execute menu strategies that drive profitability while aligning with The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas' refined standards.
  • Ensure compliance with health, sanitation, and safety standards, fostering a pristine and efficient work environment.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a dedicated culinary team, cultivating a culture of collaboration, growth, and excellence.
  • Work closely with the service team to deliver seamless, memorable dining experiences, engaging with guests to ensure satisfaction.
  • Support the Culinary Leadership in executing the property's food and beverage initiatives, policies, and training programs.
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of culinary trends, menu offerings, and kitchen equipment.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • At least two (2) years of prior relevant experience.
  • Prior experience working in a food hall/multiple outlets is a bonus.
  • Background in various cuisines such as Breakfast Foods, American, Asian, and Southern is a bonus.
