Summary: Diamondback is an independent oil and natural gas company headquartered in Midland, Texas focused on the acquisition, development, exploration, and exploitation of unconventional, onshore oil and natural gas reserves in the Permian Basin in West Texas. Diamondback's activities are primarily focused on the horizontal exploitation of multiple intervals within the Wolfcamp, Spraberry, Clearfork, Bone Spring, and Cline formations. Diamondback maintains an office with Land Administration, IT, Accounting, and other disciplines in Oklahoma City.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Include but are not limited to:

  • Assist Division Orders and Lease Administration in all phases of Land Administration work required to maintain acreage, ownership, and agreements.
  • Research and analyze title opinions, leases, operating agreements, term assignments, and other title documentation to determine obligations.
  • Confirm ownership in operated and non-operated wells in order to comply with contractual obligations.
  • Work in SAP and Quorum to maintain company and third-party interest.
  • Learn what is required of Division Order and Lease Administration analysts by working with both groups in day-to-day functions.
  • Work with other disciplines within the company to gain a better understanding of how asset teams and other disciplines function.
  • At project completion, the intern will demonstrate hisprocedure and results in a culminating presentation in front of Diamondback upper management (CEO, COO,EVP, SVP, and VP).

Required Qualifications:

  • Pursuing aBS or higher in Energy Management/Energy Commerce.
  • Must have strong interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills.
  • GPA of 3.20 or higher preferred.
  • Extracurricular achievements or prior work experience is desirable.
  • Must be willing to work in Oklahoma City, OK for the duration of the internship.
