The Social Media Video and Content Specialist is a collaborative and detail-oriented individual who implements social media marketing tactics across multiple channels, targeting various geographies and audiences. They will directly create social-first video content that engages and informs our online audiences. They will also manage accounts in collaboration with the Sr. Social Media Manager, Marketing and Communications, Development, Human Resources and other departments across the system to align with the social strategy and overall communication goals. Such efforts and channels include X, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn and Facebook.
Reporting to the Sr. Social Media Manager, the Social Media Video and Content Specialist is a key member of the social media team. They create, develop and plan social media communications while supporting the mission of the system and hospital. They regularly seek out new information and stay ahead of social media trends and best practices. They are extremely creative and bring new content ideas to the table, as well as staying on top of competitors in the market and brands "breaking the mold" in social media. They also regularly convene with individuals across the organization who are involved with social media activity while building relationships. They also track social media analytics to ensure content is performing the best it can. This individual is also aware of the social media conversation happening on the channels and can escalate to the appropriate teams when needed.
The Social Media Video and Content Specialist is a creative and skilled video producer/writer/editor and project manager. They demonstrate professionalism, commitment to service excellence and work collaboratively and effectively within all levels of the system.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Public Communications or related field of study required

Experience

  • 2-3 years of experience required in social media management, preferably in the healthcare industry

Social Media Strategy, Planning and Execution

  • Daily maintenance of social media channels, including the development of content (video, visual assets and live streaming, if needed), making sure content aligns with social media editorial guidelines

  • Contribute to the social media team by offering creative ideas and solutions

  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure cohesion across platforms while creating a social media content calendar for posts

  • In collaboration with the Analytics team, analyze and report on social media metrics

  • Keep abreast of social media trends and best practices while also sharing learnings with the social media and digital team

  • Assist with organic and paid social media campaigns

  • Assist in social media graphic creation and planning

Video Production and Editing

  • Create high-engaging video content for social media channels (X, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn); opportunity to go on-site and film at hospital locations

  • Edit raw footage of videos to produce social videos optimized for each social media platform while adhering to video best practices and platform specifications
