Description
JOB SUMMARY Performs inspection, quality control, auditing and/or reporting activities before, during, and after the manufacturing processes, to ensure that products comply with design, manufacturing, and quality standards. Identifies and analyzes processes and/or products for continuous improvement opportunities. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Performs First Article inspections and processing for select components and assemblies as required to support quality, manufacturing, or engineering functions. Ensures First Articles, incoming material, manufacturing processes and outgoing material meet their documented standards and reports results. * Supports the control and segregation of non-conforming materials. Performs documentation of non-conforming components or assemblies. * Performs routine monitoring of the production process through process audits. * Maintains and updates quality records and documentation in accordance with established procedures and manufacturing practices. * Prepares critical limit samples for cosmetic or functional use to ensure quality of appearance of products. * Performs internal product audits to identify issues on fully assembled and sub-assembled products. * Promote company safety policies, workmanship standards and operational procedures among team members while displaying strong quality consciousness at all times. * Performs other duties as assigned. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Education: High School diploma or equivalent. Experience: Typically requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or quality environment. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES * Demonstrated above with above average math and analytical skills. * Ability to be flexible and work effectively when issues arise throughout the day. * Ability to own elements of production quality data and summarize data for review. * Ability to independently perform product and production audits, effectively identify quality issues, and maintain accurate records. * Demonstrated understanding of product physical and electrical (if applicable) visual standards to assist production. * Good communication (verbal/written) and interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively interact with internal teams such as engineering, manufacturing, and services functions. * Proficient computer skills for analysis and data reporting.
