About this Job
The primary function of the Development Manager role is to coordinate and direct all aspects of development projects from due diligence through construction.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Responsible for the project financial proforma and its accuracy data backed assumptions thru the development process Be the owner representative, driver of schedule and decision maker thru the design process (leading design meetings, setting plan & budget schedule dates, providing owner directives, maintaining city relationships, and delivering of building permit etc.) to ensure timely closings. Coordinate consultant contracts/proposals with design management input Review the production of capital offering memorandums and other ad hoc capital requests. Lead potential capital site tours. Underwrite/review capital term sheets and recommend the best risk/reward option Oversee the closing process including working with SVP on loan and partnership documents Be the owner representative and a decision maker thru the construction process (sending out construction draws, reviewing change orders, attending owner/contractor meetings, communication with investors, assist asset management with reforecasting etc.) Coordinate with all JPI disciplines- Preconstruction, Land Acquisition, Construction, Investment Management, Risk Management to ensure best outcomes. Mentor/grow supporting Development Associates/Analysts

Education, Work Experience, & Physical Requirements
A Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a major in Finance, Accounting or RealEstate or similar discipline. 7-9 experience with Real Estate development, multi-family development experience preferred. Demonstrated experience in underwriting potential development opportunities, management of consultants and direct reports, working with municipalities/approval agencies, working with non-development disciplines (asset management, construction), working with legal teams and market analytics.

California General Base Pay Range Note that the actual base pay offered will be contingent upon the candidate's overall experience, skills, internal existing associate equity, and overall budget of the Company at the time of offer.
