Position Description:
Purpose
Perform independent standard and complex laboratory research procesures; maintain zebrafish feeding and care, record and present data. Assist other researchers in experimentation and data collection.
Primary Functions
- Assist in feeding, breeding, and maintenance of zebrafish colony.
- Assist in laboratory organization (glassware washing, autoclaving, and inventory).
- Participate in meetings with principle investigator and research staff as needed.
- Will need to work on Saturday or Sunday and some Holidays for 3+ hours.
Knowledge - Skills - Abilities
Ability to learn general laboratory procedures. Ability to use independent judgment. Ability to read, understand, follow direction of safety procedures. Strong critical thinking, problem solving and attentiveness to detail required.
