Summary Responsible for monitoring, trending, and tracking incoming and outgoing inventory of supplies and equipment used in a high volume environment and maintaining proper levels of inventory. Maintain accurate records of jobs and inventory usage in Access, InfoPrint, Workflow, InSite and/or Inv-Pro, and report on Service Level Agreements to customer areas. Description

Location: This position is full-time (40-hours/week) Monday-Friday in a typical office environment. You will work an 8-hour shift scheduled during our normal business hours of 8:30AM-5:00PM. This role is located at 4101 Percival Road, Columbia, SC 29229.

What You'll Do:

  • Maintain inventory control database of all tickets/requisitions completed. Assist supervisory staff in processing completed tickets/requisitions through appropriate inventory control system. Prepare necessary Service Level Reports for Medicare. Track/trend inventory usage and generate related reports used by multiple levels of staff and management across all lines of business.

  • Maintain uniform supply and equipment inventory, ensuring sufficient inventory remains onsite for daily transportation/delivery and to meet all service level commitments for all lines of business. Ensure the distribution area remains organized, safe, and clean.

  • Verify inventory upon receipt by validating items received against items ordered. Inspect condition of pallets/cartons to ensure only undamaged product is received. Reconcile UPS and FedEx weekly invoices, ensuring contractual rate schedules established through the BCBS Association are adhered to, and regulatory requirements are met. Ensure proper paperwork is forwarded to the purchasing department to ensure timely payment of all invoices.

  • Assist in inventory system updates, modifications, and implementation in coordination with inventory system users, I/S and software developers to ensure the best product for BCBS. May update the corporate intranet web page as needed.

  • May set up purchase orders, order office supplies for support staff, and prepare confirmations on a weekly basis for lines of business.

To Qualify for This Position, You'll Need the Following:

  • Required Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Required Work Experience: 2 Year-General shipping/receiving, inventory, or office experience in a production environment, including database/spreadsheet applications (experience with query and spreadsheet development).

  • Required Training: Certified on the forklift within 90 days of hire.

  • Required Skills and Abilities:

    • Coordinates delivery and receiving.

    • Coordinates production schedules

    • Maintains mail equipment

    • Manages inventories

    • Operates mail equipment
