A Brief Overview The Radiology Systems Analyst Intern, under general direction, is responsible for learning the building of system administration parameters that promotes efficient workflows for Radiologists and Radiology Technologists, responsive and proactive management of data and image integrity, and provides effective training in the use of technology for order, image and clinical reporting. This individual will also serve as the key connection to Radiology Admin for AV and conference feature support. They will also learn to act as a liaison between Radiology and other departments related to enterprise digital imaging initiatives and other computer applications that enhance the quality of patient care. The role requires knowledge of PACS system application and platforms, PACS basic system administration industry administration standards, dictation and voice recognition technologies and how they interface with PACS and RIS, informatics technologies, and radiologist and radiology technologist workflows and practices. The role also requires the individual to support and develop concise detailed information regarding all AV and Smart Board support for the radiology department. The Radiology Intern will assist the Radiology Systems Analyst I, II, III, in interpreting business needs and requirements and translate those needs into the development and/or enhancement of technologies. In addition, this role provides analytical expertise to information systems end users with the overall objective of improving the use of technology functionality, i.e. enhance work flow, optimize business processes and identify appropriate systems solutions. Essential Functions Radiology Systems Analyst Intern participates in plans and provides the ongoing support of the PACS, RIS, voice recognition and other supporting imaging systems. This includes daily monitoring and troubleshooting with physicians and operational staff, project management for system upgrades, integration testing and new physician or staff training. This position is also responsible for learning and supporting the implementation of new systems and identifying new avenues of efficiency that can be gained from these or existing technologies.
