Boston Children's Hospital at Waltham's Community Based Acute Treatment (CBAT) Program is a 12-bed intensive, short-term acute residential unit for children and adolescents experiencing behavioral health difficulties

This Temporary Clinical Social Worker, Community Based Acute Treatment Program (CBAT) will be responsible for:

  • Providing short-term individual and family therapy to patients aged 8-17 at BCH's Psychiatric Community Based Acute Treatment Program (CBAT) in Waltham, MA.
  • Coordinating clinical care with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Conducting patient and family assessments, providing individual and family therapy, collaborating with collateral contacts, and case management for discharge planning.

To qualify, you must have:

  • A Master's Degree in Social Work. LICSW licensure in Massachusetts required.
  • Experience in a mental health inpatient or acute setting working with children, adolescents and families is ideal.
  • The ability to independently carry cases while working well within an interdisciplinary team model.

This temp role is October 2025 - March 2026
