Senior Student Recruitment Specialist, UMKC School of Nursing and Health Studies, 31609

The UMKC School of Nursing and Health Studies (SoNHS) is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Student Recruitment Specialist. This position plays a critical role in supporting student recruitment and undergraduate admissions for SoNHS academic programs. The incumbent will be responsible for executing daily recruitment and admissions activities, maintaining accurate and timely data, and collaborating with key campus offices to achieve enrollment goals.

The Senior Student Recruitment Specialist reports to the Director of Student Services and contributes to a positive and professional environment aligned with the values and mission of UMKC and SoNHS.

Key Responsibilities:

• Represent SoNHS in a professional and informed manner with internal and external stakeholders.
• Acquire and maintain a thorough understanding of all SoNHS academic offerings, particularly undergraduate programs, to communicate accurately with prospective students.
• Collaborate with UMKC's Transfer Admissions Office, Domestic Admissions Office, and International Student Affairs Office.
• Oversee and manage undergraduate admissions processes in coordination with central UMKC Admissions.
• Review and process admission petitions, including obtaining appropriate administrative approvals.
• Partner with UMKC Admissions to ensure application portals and associated reports are active and accurate in the customer relationship management (CRM) system.
• Track and analyze undergraduate application data, including status updates (incomplete, pending, denied, accepted, deposited, etc.), and support enrollment confirmations.
• Respond to transfer credit evaluation requests using official university platforms.
• Serve as a SoNHS representative at UMKC orientation programs and other onboarding events.
• Plan, coordinate, and manage recruitment events for prospective transfer students, including building and maintaining community partnerships.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support SoNHS and university-wide enrollment initiatives.

• A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least one (1) year of experience in a related field from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired.

• Prior experience in student recruitment and admissions within higher education.
• Proficiency in customer relationship management systems.
• Strong organizational, planning, and data evaluation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Familiarity with tools such as Adobe Acrobat, SLATE, Pathway, Perceptive Content, and data dashboard platforms.
• Demonstrated success in achieving recruitment or enrollment goals in previous roles.

• Full-time, benefit-eligible, hourly (non-exempt)
• $17.92 - $24.80 per hour, commensurate with education, experience, and internal equity.

This role is primarily in-person and requires regular on-site collaboration with faculty, students, and administrative offices across the School of Nursing and Health Studies and UMKC.
