SEI's Business Transitions team is committed to helping advisors and their teams plan for, operationalize, and execute successful business transitions. In this critical role, you will lead and oversee the seamless transition of financial advisors and their client accounts to the SEI platform, with a dual focus on onboarding advisors' accounts from other custodians and managing transitions of advisors between firms who are already using the SEI platform.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the independent advisor business, exceptional project management skills, and a proven ability to navigate the complexities of account transfers and firm transitions. You will be instrumental in ensuring a positive and efficient experience for advisors joining or transitioning within the SEI ecosystem.

This role reports to the Managing Director of the Business Transitions Team within the Advisor Sales & Client Team. This role is based in SEI's Oaks, Pennsylvania headquarters.

What you will do:

  • Oversee and manage the end-to-end process of transitioning financial advisory firms and client accounts to the SEI platform as well as manage the transition of advisors and their client accounts between firms already on the SEI platform (i.e., when an advisor leaves one firm to join another).

  • Develop, implement, and optimize standardized processes and procedures for account transfers, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for advisors and their staff throughout the account transition process, providing expert guidance and support.

  • Collaborate closely with internal teams and key stakeholders, including sales, client management, operations, and technology, to coordinate transition activities and resolve issues.

  • Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with transitions, ensuring minimal disruption to advisor business and client relationships.

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of transition processes, workflows, and best practices.

  • Monitor and analyze key transition metrics to identify areas for improvement and enhance the overall advisor experience.

  • Provide training and support to internal teams on account transition procedures and systems.

  • Stay current with industry regulations and best practices related to account transfers and advisor transitions.

What we need from you:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in the financial services industry, with a focus on account transitions, advisor onboarding, or related operational functions.

  • Proven experience managing complex projects and coordinating multiple stakeholders.

  • Strong understanding of the independent advisor business model and the challenges associated with transitions.

  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to present complex topics in a clear, confident, and compelling way.

  • Experience in multi-channel communication mediums, including individual face-to-face interactions, in-person and virtual one-to-many presentations, live video, recorded video, phone and email.

  • Outstanding problem-solving and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Extensive knowledge of account transfer processes (ACATs), industry regulations, and compliance requirements.

  • Proficiency in using CRM systems and other relevant technology tools.

What we would like from you:

  • Experience working with SEI's platform and systems.

  • Current NASAA Series 65 or Series 66 license or ability to acquire within 90 days.

  • Someone who will embody our SEI Values of courage, integrity, collaboration, inclusion, connection and fun. Please see our website for more information, https://www.seic.com
