COLLEGE COACH Summer Internship: Cause Marketing intern

Who we are

Boston Children's Hospital (BCH) is currently ranked as the #1 children's hospital in the nation by U.S. News & World Report. It provides comprehensive and specialized care for infants, children, and adolescents and is a leader in pediatric research, contributing to significant advancements in medical science. BCH also offers a specialized programs and services, including cariology, neurology, oncology, and orthopedics. The hospital is affiliated with Harvard Medical School and plays a key role in training the future pediatric healthcare professionals. BCH's family-centered care emphasizes a holistic approach, providing extensive support services for families so they have comprehensive care and support through their medical journey.

The opportunity

The College COACH summer internship is a paid program running from Monday, June 9-Friday, August 8, 2025. In addition to on-the-job training and work experience, the program includes workshops and additional development programs. College students will work 35 hours/week.

The intern will specifically work with the Cause Marketing team. The Cause Marketing team works cohesively with our counterparts at the Boston Children's Hospital Trust and with the 170 member hospitals within the Children's Miracle Network. This team works with a wide variety of partners ranging from corporations, local businesses, and peer-to-peer programs to fundraise for the hospital.

What you'll do

  • The Cause Marketing intern will assist the Cause Marketing team, the team responsible for working with a wide variety of partners ranging from corporations, local businesses, and peer-to-peer programs.

  • You will assist the team in campaign management, partner communication, blog management, and cross-team collaboration.

  • You will learn how to track trends and spot opportunities to target prospective corporate and local partners.

  • You will have the opportunity to assist with the planning and promotion of special events, programs, and campaigns while supporting our pre-existing third party fundraising events. In addition, the intern will help create and implement a marketing strategy to maintain an online presence for the Cause programs through digital media.

  • This position is hybrid

Who you are

  • You are an undergraduate college student interested working in healthcare

  • The intern should possess:
    i. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
    ii. Strong writing capabilities, with the ability to create captivating content for diverse audiences.
    iii. Proficiency with technology, coupled with a passion for emerging trends.
    iv. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while working effectively in a team environment.

  • Preferred, but not required: Experience fundraising for a non-profit.

Recruitment process

  • Onboarding: Those selected for the internship program will complete onboarding by May to ensure a smooth start to the program.
