Sr. Manager, Support Teams

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Purpose/ Summary: Lead and oversee the Support functions for NAQC to achieve organizational goals and KPIs. Responsible for all functions related to facilities, technicians, purchasing and admin services. Review all relevant policies and procedures to ensure full compliance. Responsible to ensure the facility is maintained to a high standard and provides the tools and environment to empower the organization to achieve KPI's. Manage support staff to ensure they maintain applicable certifications and fully support all engineering work.

Hyundai Motor Group North American Quality Center. (NAQC) is currently looking for an Sr, Manage, Support Teams at our Irvine, CA facility who will:

Lead a team of support professionals supporting our North American Quality Center. Design, develop, and maintain the standards, policies and procedures to ensure we maintain a highly efficient and effective facility capable of facilitating complex vehicle investigations.

On a day-to-day basis, the Sr Manager, Strategy and Analytics...



  • Maintain supplier agreements, change orders, purchase requests, purchase orders, and invoices. Facilitate processing and approvals with internal departments.
  • Review/approve all purchasing, contracts, budget, and billing services for merchandising vendor programs.
  • Department budget support - compile annual department budget, monitor budget compliance through review of monthly reports & identify/resolve variance issues and concerns.

HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT

Responsibilities:



  • Understand Division's plan and work with the team to implement & achieve KPI
  • Prepare and deliver frequent reports to upper- and executive-level management
  • Lead and manage a team of technicians, and support staff by providing guidance, support, and mentorship to drive exceptional performance
  • Lead the development, signoff and maintenance of facility and operational standard operating processes
  • Lead, coordinate, and oversee business relations with tool and equipment distributors, suppliers and vendors.
  • Manage the NAQC shop to ensure the business is efficiently supported, and the shop maintains a high level of structure and organization.
  • Responsible for managing purchasing and budgeting for the organization to ensure timely processing and payments and accurate forecasts.
  • Manage administrative support teams who support the staff and ensure a safe and effective work environment.
  • Maintain the facility to a high standard.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and affiliates (HMNA, KMNA, HAC, KCA, HATCI, HMC, HMMA, KaGA, KMX, NASO, KASO, and suppliers)
  • Innovate new ways of problem solving that draw from best practices and innovations from other industries.
  • Conduct regular reviews of program performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement process enhancements to optimize project outcomes
  • Manage budget, resource allocation, and forecasting activities, ensuring efficient utilization of resource

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE

The ideal candidate is...



  • Capable of managing the development of personnel and conducting regular performance evaluations.
  • Can manage vendors and contract labor including business relationship, contracts, and budgets.
  • An excellent problem-solver, detail-oriented, and exhibits a drive for continuous improvement.


Candidates considered will have...



  • 10+ years of relevant experience in technical shop role.
  • Automotive industry experience
  • Prior experience with purchasing, contracts and finance a strong plus.
  • Bachelor's degree a plus
  • Automotive repair certification a plus
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Able to recognize the needs of the end user and create reproducible solutions that answer those needs quickly and efficiently.
  • Must be detail orientated with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Must possess a strong ability to document developed processes and best practices.
