The Role:
The Marketing Intern at Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) will support a variety of cross-functional marketing activities and gain hands-on experience in digital marketing, event management, analytics, content development, and operational support. This internship is ideal for a motivated and organized student or early-career professional eager to explore multiple areas of marketing in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.

Working alongside experienced marketers, the intern will contribute to real projects, collaborate across teams, and support the execution of internal and external marketing campaigns, culture initiatives, and data reporting. This role is designed to provide both skill-building opportunities and meaningful exposure to marketing as a business function.

What You Get To Do Everyday:
  • Event & Conference Preparation:
    • Support inventory management, packing, and logistics for marketing events and trade shows.
    • Assist in planning for the 2026 Staff Day by brainstorming ideas, surveying employees, and identifying vendors or guest speakers.
  • Corporate Communications:
    • Evaluate and implement automation tools for internal communications.
    • Support company-wide initiatives like internal digital signage updates and team recognition moments.
  • Competitive & Market Research:
    • Conduct cross-channel competitor audits using the 4-Ps framework (Product, Price, Place, Promotion).
    • Summarize insights into a shared report and update internal marketing portals with findings.
  • Creative Support & Content Development:
    • Support marketing brainstorm sessions and operations, note capture, and development of internal presentation decks.
    • Assist with maintaining and updating customer testimonial libraries and data tracking systems.
    • Support campaign development by helping format lead lists and customer data pulls for use by the marketing team.
  • Digital Marketing:
    • Support social media, search engine optimization (SEO), and digital analytics deliverables.
    • Identify forward-looking support tools for various functions.
    • Support marketing's ongoing assessment and use of AI tools.
  • Perform other position-related duties as assigned.
You Need to Have:
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Currentlypursuing a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Knowledge of digital platforms, including social media and websites
  • Basic understanding of marketing, project management, digital tools, or event planning
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions and meet deadlines
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn new tools, technologies, and marketing concepts
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Organized and proactive, with strong time management and multitasking skills
  • Positive attitude and flexibility in a fast-paced environment
  • Accountability for work produced
  • Positive attitude, high-energy

What We Offer:
  • $18.00 - $20.00/hour
  • June - August schedule
