Applications will be accepted through May 23, 2025 - Apply on-line at www.wfec.com SUMMARY: Under the direct supervision of the Warehouse Supervisor, the Warehouse Worker performs activities related to handling, issuing, shipping, and receiving of inventory and non-inventory materials. The incumbent utilizes the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and other computer applications for transactions and research related to inventory and non-inventory materials and equipment. The position performs activities related to cycle counts and physical inventory counts including counting, count entry, and variance research as assigned by the Supervisor. The incumbent also operates material handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner (i.e., pallet jacks, forklifts, and front-end loaders). The incumbent is responsible for all functions related to the company mail including preparation of outgoing mail, mail delivery and pickup at the post office, and distribution of mail. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Include the following: other duties may be assigned. Utilizes ERP system to requisition, issue, receive, return, and credit materials and in accordance with departmental procedures. Receives and unloads materials in a safe manner and verifies that materials are correct and free of damage. Processes Receipt in ERP system and ensures materials are stored in correct locations including pre-stage materials. Works with other team members and departments to resolve issues related to damaged or missing materials and invoice discrepancies. Processes weekly replenishment requisitions and creates other requisitions for materials and equipment as needed. Ensures quality-controlled inventory item master record management by maintaining item descriptions, manufacturer numbers, and other pertinent elements of the item master for new and existing inventory materials. Conducts cycle counts and physical inventory counts. Researches and determines cause of any discrepancies. Pulls, stages, and delivers materials as requested by internal customers and contractors. Issues and charges materials in ERP system in accordance with WFEC department operating procedures. Participates in the review of replenishment restocking levels and makes recommendations related to identifying slow moving/obsolete inventory. Assists with processes and procedures related to the disposition of obsolete material in accordance with administrative and department operating procedures. Supports the process related to repairing inventory and other equipment. Returns equipment for repairs, tracks repair process, and works with internal customer to properly account for repaired equipment. Packages, labels, and fills out computer and written bills of lading on all outgoing freight. Tracks freight shipments incoming and outbound by computer and telephone as required. Keeps warehouse inventories in proper order. Regularly cleans and straightens warehouse space to ensure it stays in a clean and orderly condition. Picks up and delivers mail at the post office. Sorts and distributes incoming and interoffice mail. Acts as the principle operator of the postage machine and maintains adequate postage to meet daily needs. Packages and applies postage to outgoing mail prior to delivery at the post office. Picks up air express letters and packages and other small freight items from the warehouse and delivers them to the appropriate internal work area. Works with other departments, and auction company to move, load, and stage items for surplus auctions. QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and behaviors required of this position. Education and Experience: A high school diploma or equivalent, five (5) years of experience in a warehousing environment, and the use of a computerized inventory system in a power plant or industrial environment are required. Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as purchase orders, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write basic correspondence or brief emails. Ability to speak effectively with other employees. Math Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situation. Computer Skills: Ability to use or learn to use the automated purchasing and materials management processes in PeopleSoft and basic Microsoft Office software including Outlook and Word. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: This position requires a current driver's license. WORK SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS: This position normally works a daytime shift, but may be required to work nights, weekends and additional hours as needed and to travel on short notice as required.
