Job Summary

The Team Lead Material Handling Equipment (MHE) Operator is responsible for operating powered industrial trucks to move materials or products in the warehouse, while helping to oversee the department's daily responsibilities. Team Lead MHE Operators provide a high level of administrative support and are responsible for assisting management maintain performance, quality, and safety standards. They are also responsible for delegating tasks and setting deadlines to help meet operational goals.

What you'll do

  • Complete daily MHE Operator inspection of equipment using Infolink.
  • Utilize MHE or Pallet Jack to move pallets of materials or products.
  • Assist coworkers to ensure assigned tasks are completed daily.
  • Monitor workflow and allocate resources and tools appropriately based on volume.
  • Use problem solving skills to research products and orders to minimize downtime.
  • Follow and enforce Preferred Methods and Safety Guidelines.
  • Rotate throughout the department to perform various functions.
  • Assist other areas of Operations, including cross-department functions, for training and operational purposes.

What we expect of you

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Assist with leading daily stretches and team huddles.
  • Perform quality control using the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and RF scanners.
  • Load/unload materials, product, and pallets.
  • Receive, stock, pick, or ship products for customer orders.
  • Attain individual and department goals.
  • Continuously develop and grow through Leadership Development.
  • Strong organizational, counting, and multitasking skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all stakeholders.
  • Ability to perform 8 or more hours of standing, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying products in any combination at any given time.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. (team-lift for anything above 50 lbs).
  • Prior Warehouse experience.
  • Prior Forklift experience.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience in use of a Warehouse Management System (WMS) is a plus.

Pay range: $ 22.22 - $ 33.75 depending on experience and skill set
