POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for expanding as well as developing new client relationships. Offers appropriate bank products and services and provides quality client service.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervises Client Experience Bankers and provides coaching and mentoring in order to create a World Class service environment for Southern First clients.
  • Work closely with other bank departments on outside business development calls and handle any client retail deposit needs.
  • Grow the deposit base by expanding existing relationships and winning new clients.
  • Offer appropriate bank services and products by developing and maintaining a strong working knowledge of all relevant Bank products and services to include cash management, remote deposit, ACH and wires and positive pay services.
  • Adhere to high ethical standards and comply with all policies/procedures/regulations/applicable laws.
  • Research and verify account information, client inquiries and resolve problems for clients, as necessary. Discuss products and rates. Provide Safe deposit box services
  • Provide services such as account opening, responding to clients and providing leadership to the team.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.


ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES OR DETAILS

  • May be required to represent the Bank in the local business community.
  • Authority figure and liaison between the office and upper management for Bank locations with no executive management present.


ESSENTIAL SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Required

  • Five years banking experience, preferably in Client Services or related area.
  • Must have basic computer skills.
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience and ability to write and conduct an objective employee performance review.
  • Interpersonal communication skills in order to represent the Bank in a positive way in dealing with clients and other team members.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook.
  • Extensive knowledge of retail banking rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Maintain regular, consistent, and professional attendance, punctuality, and professional appearance.
  • Successful completion of compliance training deemed necessary by the Bank.


Preferred

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience using bank systems, such as Horizon XE
  • This position must be able to sit for long periods of time as position involves large amount of time spent at desk and computer.
  • Local and overnight travel required infrequently (2x per year)
  • Standard office environment with climate control and sufficient lighting.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to sit for up to eight hours
  • Ability to hear or see telephone ringing and respond to telephone calls
  • Ability to perform work on computer using Bank Systems and software
